"The young lady at the pick up line was extremely polite, and friendly. Had to stay focused or I would have spent a lot more than intended...lol."
The Competitor is actually a wired controller for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC, but one of the big benefits compared to standard Xbox controllers is that it comes with Hall Effect sticks, helping to eliminate stick drift. It apparently comes with Hall Effect triggers as well.
The Xbox elite controllers are pieces of shit, whereas the switch 1 and 2 pro controllers are actually well made. I'm 4 elite controllers deep from either drift, the rubber delaminating from the controller, and the right bumper stopping working.
If you get a third party Xbox wireless dongle, your Xbox controller can then wake up your PC from standby or hibernate straight in to Steam BPM. Doesn't work with the official one though. Alternatively get a FLIRC dongle and wake your PC from your TV remote. Just use hibernate, no need to leave PC on or even on standby.
A new change we're introducing is when you long press the Xbox button, it will open Task View. Pressing and holding the Xbox button continues to turn off the game controller.
I've had my fair share of bad experiences with Xbox One controllers out of the box but my Design Lab Series controller has held up well except for my right trigger randomly splitting in half. There's a design issue in the Xbox Series controller carried over from the Xbox One controller that results in unregistered or double registered button presses, specifically A or Y, but that's a design ...
All the buttons and bumpers still work fine. My only complaint about the controller is the buttons are very loud when you press them over and over in, say, an action game. But this is typical of Xbox controllers vis a vis Playstation controllers. I'm looking forward to the next gen Xbox controller where the leak promised quieter buttons.
Xbox wireless stuff has always been botched for me on PC. I've got the Starfield controller, 20th Anniversary controller, and the Xbox Wireless Headset and none have ever worked properly on my PC. Always lots of disconnects or missed inputs. Don't have any issues with other Bluetooth devices. Do you mean the adapter or you're using the things ...
I’m looking to play more of my Series S in my bedroom during the evenings, but the official controller is way too loud. The wife wouldn’t be happy. What are my options? I was looking at the 8bitdo wired controllers and wasn’t sure how loud they’d be.
I just upgraded my preferred PC controller from a 2016 model that came with a One S to the Sky Cipher Series X|S controller that came out a couple days ago. I might be one of the few that consistently uses the Xbox Game Bar in order to handle my screenshots and 30-second clips as it's...
